PETER FLACK

FLACK--Peter, 92, of Hanover, NH, formerly of Manhattan, passed away peacefully in his home at Kendal of Hanover on December 12th.

Born in Vienna, Austria in 1928 he fled to England on the last Kindertransport and then to the US in 1945 with his mother Gertrude Flack Danziger. He suffered many losses due to the Holocaust, including his beloved father, Hans Flack, but never lost his optimistic outlook and joie de vivre. Peter helped to support his mother while working during the day and putting himself through night school for engineering. He ultimately was the founding partner of the renowned national and international Consulting Engineering firm, Flack & Kurtz, acquired by WSP.

While a successful businessman, Peter was most known for his love of his family, especially his wife of 65 years, Marianne "Schnaki" (nee Mosbacher), who predeceased him in February 2019, his grandchildren Emma and Jack Geduldig, and his adoring daughters Jennifer (Geduldig) and Stephanie Flack. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him but mostly by his family who could not love him more.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Central Park Conservancy or the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC.
