Fannie G. Krevsky, 104, a Harrisburg native, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at her home in Harrisburg.

 Born on May 5, 1916 in Harrisburg to the late George and Sarah (Katzman) Grant. Fannie had worked for the Department of Aging on both a county and state level. When she was in her 90's she was a member of the office support staff of District Justice George A. Zozos, making her the eldest employee of staff. She had been an administrative assistant to Harrisburg Mayor Paul E. Doutrich, Jr. She was a volunteer with Volunteers of America, the American Red Cross, Johnstown, and the Hispanic Community in Harrisburg. Over her years as a volunteer she received numerous awards, including the Jefferson Award. Fannie served on the Harrisburg School District School Board for over 20 years and was the first female president of the school board. She had also served on the board for the Police Athletic League and the Harrisburg Library. She was a member of Kesher Israel Congregation, Harrisburg, the Kesher Israel Sisterhood, and Mizrachi, of which she was a past president. Fannie remained politically active throughout her lifetime, and worked on several campaigns.

She was the widow of Herman N. Krevsky, to whom she was married for 69 years. She was preceded in death by a son, Shawn Z. Krevsky, 5 brothers, Sam Bernstein, Paul Grant, Hyman Bernstein, Myer Grant, Phillip Grant, 5 sisters, Mildred Abramson, Rebecca Lessin, Sylvia Rosenberg, Norma Stein, and Huddi Grant. Surviving are her daughter, Helen K. Wade and her husband, James of Napa, CA, her 3 sons, George G. Krevsky and his wife, Doris of Oakland, CA, Sanford A. Krevsky and his wife, Sandra of Harrisburg, Leslie M. Krevsky and his wife, Sophie of Brooklyn, NY. 10 grandchildren, Susan, Craig, Shani, Joshua, Jonathan, Talia, Sarah, Yael, Kasey, Zoe, 3 great-grandchildren, Charlie, Maxwell, and Grey.
