Alex V. Krakovitz, 72, of Carlisle passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at home. Born August 7, 1949 in Harrisburg, he was a son of the late Benjamin and Naomi (Melman) Krakovitz and the widower of Sheila R. (Berk) Krakovitz since January 2019.

A retired mechanical engineer from Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Architectural Engineering from Pratt Institute in New York and was a member of St. Martin Yacht Club. Alex enjoyed the warm weather and sunshine of St. Martin yearly, where he would scuba dive and sail. He was also a car fanatic and avid ballroom dancer.

Surviving are his son Adam Krakovitz, daughter Nina Krakovitz, and grandchildren Kaidenn, Elle, Jace, and Lillian all of Carlisle.
