Rubin Sherman, z'l, 82, former member of Beth El Temple, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2020 in Boca Raton, Florida.

Rubin was pre-deceased by his wife Ida Rosen Sherman, who passed away in 1994.

He was born February 17, 1938 to Ethel and Julius David Sherman in Harrisburg. He graduated from William Penn High School and joined the U.S. Marine Corps. After an honorable discharge, he worked as a sales representative for D & H Distributors. He married Ida Rosen in 1966.

Rubin loved to bowl, play golf, and racquetball and he was a match for Fred Astaire on the dance floor. Rubin was a kind and gentle soul, who would give you his last penny and expect nothing in return. He made everyone feel special, he made everyone laugh and he was the life of the party.

He is survived by his daughters Debbie (Richard) Vogel and Lisa Sherman; and grandchildren Ilana and Benji Vogel.

Private funeral services were held on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at the Beth El Cemetery officiated by Rabbi Eric Cytryn. Interment in the Beth El Cemetery.
