ROBERT A. MILLER

Robert A. Miller, 84, of Lower Paxton Township, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, June 30, 2021. He was born on May 4, 1937 in Batavia, Ohio to the late Vernon R. Miller, and Frances M. (Gardner) Miller.

Robert graduated from Susquehanna Township High School in 1955. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Elizabethtown College in 1959. Robert is an Army Veteran having served during the Vietnam War and continued to serve in the National Guard until 1965.

Robert had an active career life and a sincere love for the people in his community. He worked as a Jury Clerk for the Dauphin County Court of Common Pleas and a sports writer for the Patriot News. Robert owned his own tax-accounting business and always had a true passion for finance and investments. He retired in January 1999 from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of General Services as a buyer/supervisor.

Robert was loved by all who knew him. His kind heart, sweet disposition, and easy laugh made him a joy to be around. Robert’s greatest investment was in his family. His endless love and nurturing dedication to his family will live on in their hearts and memories. Robert is survived by his loving wife Gwen and their children; son, Jeffrey Brian Miller and his wife, Andrea of San Diego, CA, and daughter, Elizabeth M. Reich and her husband Gregory of Ellicott City, MD, and grandchildren, Rachael Gilbilterra (Virgil), Allyson Miller, and Cole Reich.

Visitation and a Memorial service was held on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at 11am, at the Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home. A service followed with Pastor Randy Bennett of Calvary United Methodist Church officiating. Military Honors by the Dauphin County Honor Guard closed the service.
