LEE PACHTER

Lee Pachter, 81, of Harrisburg and formerly of Scranton, died Sunday at UPMC, Harrisburg. She is survived by her husband, Arthur Pachter.

Born in Jessup, daughter of the late Simon and Jennie Weiss Strassman, she was a graduate of Scranton Central High School. Lee was heavily involved in and served as the former president of the Beth Shalom Sisterhood. She also was active in Hadassah, Mizrachi Women, the Jewish Home Auxiliary, and the JCC Senior Adult Club.

Lee was a devoted wife, mother, nana, and sister who will be deeply missed.

She is also survived by her daughter, Judith Schulder and husband, Dan, Harrisburg; a son, Jeffery Pachter and wife, Linda, White Plains, N.Y.; grandchildren, Rachel, Seth, and Jacob Schulder, and Adam and Alyssa Pachter; sisters, Sally Friedman, Boynton Beach., Fla.; and Betty Jones, Olympia Fields, Ill.; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Wohl.

A graveside service was held at the Dalton Jewish Cemetery.
