EVELYN MOZENTER

Evelyn R. Mozenter, 101, of Harrisburg, PA passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at the Jewish Home in Harrisburg. She was the loving wife of Paul L. Mozenter, with whom she shared 45 years of marriage, and who preceded her in death on February 5, 1988.  

Born in Philadelphia, Evelyn was a daughter of the late Alexander and Rose Rosenstein. She married Paul Mozenter in 1942 while he was in the Army. After the War, they settled in Drexel Hill, PA and raised two children.

Evelyn worked as a bookkeeper at a hospital in Media, PA. She was active in her synagogue, Temple Israel of Upper Darby, PA. She and Paul retired to Coconut Creek, FL in 1978 where she was involved in synagogue life. She enjoyed playing golf, bicycling, and card games, including mah jongg.

Evelyn is survived by two children: Nancy M. Simmons, wife of Zachary, of Hershey, and Fred R. Mozenter, husband of Debra Graner, of Frankfort, KY; and two grandchildren: Sarah R. Simmons of Lebanon, PA and Amy M. Severino, wife of Michael, of Glen Burnie, MD.

In addition to her husband and her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her sister, Miriam Berger.

Graveside services were held at the Star of David Memorial Gardens, North Lauderdale, FL.
