ELI SAUL LEVY

Eli Saul Levy, 92, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2021 in New Jersey. 

 

Born on June 18, 1929, in Brooklyn, NY, Eli was a U.S. war veteran.  He graduated from NYU with a PhD in Public Administration and was a Professor at the Wertzweiler School of Social Work in New York City for many years before his retirement. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Doris Levy.  They were both active members of the Young Israel of Oceanside, NY, where he was the gabbai for many years.

 

Beth El Temple extends condolences to Eli’s family; daughter Bonnie Peisner and her husband David Peisner and their children, Jeremy, Jennifer, Elana, and Emily; daughter Sherry Krupka and her children, Dina, Miriam, Malkie, Chana Baila, Rivky, Avrami, Yehuda, Menashe, Zevi, Elky, Elisheva, and Tova; daughter Sondra Rube and her husband David Rube and their children, Yaakov, Moshe, Yosef, Shmuel, and Yocheved; son Benjamin Levy and his wife Cheri and their children, Effy, Esti, Shoshi, Nechama, and Yaakov, as well as 26 great-grandchildren and many other extended family members. 

 

Burial was in Har Hamenuchot in Jerusalem on September 27, 2021.
