Corporate Clash Pits Companies Against Each Other at Harrisburg JCC

Last month, nine teams set out to prove they had what it takes to be the champion of the JCC’s Corporate Clash.  With almost 100 registered participants, the competition was fierce but in the end the Harrisburg Fire Department held on to clinch the victory.  The Harrisburg JCC’s annual corporate clash continues to grow.  The first year of the competition featured three teams, with approximately two more teams joining each year.

The event featured 16 events and covered a wide range of games giving teams a chance to showcase a variety of talent.  The evening began with group relays including a relay game of Pass the Banana using feet only.  Other events included Tug-of-War, a water balloon toss, distance run, obstacle course, corn hole, and a new favorite game of Hungry Hippo where participants laid on scooters while their teammate held on to their feet and maneuvered  them around the gym  to try to capture the most balls.

“We deal with a lot of stress every day and the Corporate Clash gave us a chance to have some fun with our co-workers.  It was a great team building experience and morale booster!” commented Erin Wiener, Team Captain for CMU.

Rebecca Doctrow, Team Captain from PA Medical Association agreed. “The Corporate Clash is such a fun event every year,” she said.  “It’s a great way to build camaraderie with your coworkers and let loose!”

This year the Corporate Clash had teams from the following organizations:  Harrisburg Fire, Susquehanna Police, McClure, Alexander Building Construction, Case Management Unit (CMU), MS Hershey Foundation, Kravitz and Miller, PA Medical Association, and Girls on the Run.
