A Campaign for Community and Viability

Shalom Friends,

I want to thank you and the Jewish Federation for giving me the opportunity to serve as Campaign Chair for the last two years. Giving back to the Jewish community has always been instilled in me since I was a child. My father served for many years and it is a calling for me to serve the Jewish Community as well.

Our 2019 campaign closes at the end of August and, to be frank, we are well below our projected fundraising goal.

A shortfall will have a deep impact on our community.

The Federation relies on your support of the annual campaign to fund programs that are essential to the Jewish community. Seniors have programs that are funded by the campaign to keep them engaged in the community and activities that keep them vibrant. These funds are critical for programs and education which ensure the next generation is fully engaged in Jewish life.  Our beautiful JCC and Green Hills need money for improvements to keep them open and viable for many years to come.

I know that there are many organizations that are important in your life. Please keep in mind the Jewish Federation is the hub for Jewish education and culture in Central Pennsylvania.

If you have made your donation for the year, I sincerely thank you. If you feel like you can give more, we welcome it. If you have not made your gift yet, I urge you to do so by the end of August.

It’s not only our responsibility to keep Jewish life in Central Pennsylvania thriving, but to support the Federation in its mission to provide for all in our community, especially those that need it most.

Sincerely

Phil Bloom
Campaign Chair
